Access Point Maps is a GPS-enabled application designed to address the challenge of locating publicly accessible rivers and streams for fly fishing. The app boasts a clear and user-friendly interface that delineates publicly accessible land (depicted in green) from private land (in red) along fly fishing rivers and streams. Moreover, areas where the public has lease access to private land for fly fishing are represented in purple, aiding users in identifying convenient locations for parking and accessing the river. Whether you are a novice to the sport or exploring a new area, this application offers valuable insights to help you navigate unfamiliar waters confidently. Presently, the coverage area is specific to rivers near the Front Range of Colorado, with ongoing efforts to expand to more regions in the future.
Version 1.2.2 of the app introduces enhancements to its subscription model. The initial download of the application remains complimentary, allowing users the flexibility to opt into a monthly or yearly subscription through an in-app purchase. Notably, all users are entitled to a 7-day trial period to explore the app's features before committing to a subscription plan or opting out at their discretion. Noteworthy in this version is the availability of certain features even without a subscription. Particularly, the South Platte watershed in Colorado is activated and accessible for exploration without requiring a subscription.
